Evodiamine is a bioactive alkaloid that is extracted from a plant known as Evodiae Fructus, a Chinese herb. As a chemical extract, evodiamine has been said to promote stimulant free fat loss and weight loss results. It has shown positive energy and diuretic characteristics. Even more exciting is its unique ability to significantly elevate the production of body heat and increase resting core temperature. When evodiamine was supplemented at 0.03% of the diet and fed to mice for 12 days, the perirenal fat weight became significantly lower than in the control group. The epididymal fat mass was also decreased in the evodiamine diet group.
