Pygeum africanum extract is a special formula containing a leading European Pygeum extract combined with synergistic nutrients in a base of Pumpkin seed oil. It is one of the several phytotherapeutic agents effective for the treatment of Benign Prostate Hyperplasia. The active constituents of Pygeum extract include phytosterols such as beta-sitosterol, which have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting production of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins in the prostate.
