Scopolamine methyl nitrate is a drug used as an anticholinergic agent to treat motion sickness, as an adjunct in treating duodenal and gastric ulcers, and to treat infantile colic. Adverse effects include dry mouth, difficulty in swallowing and speaking, thirst, dilated pupils, loss of focus, sensitivity to light, skin flushing and dryness, temporary slowing of heart rate followed by rapid heart rate with palpitations and irregularities in rhythm, chest pain, and dizziness.
